Taking pictures of people, especially women, has been Asta´s passion since she got her first camera at the age of 14. Since then she has photographed thousands of people. Asta started her modeling career in Japan and worked as a model internationally. Some years later she founded and launched Eskimo Models in Reykjavik, Mumbai, and Tomsk, Siberia. Through Eskimo she got a chance to photograph mostly women from different ethnicities and cultures.

Later in life she attended Parsons School of Design in NY which gave her space to develop her style further as a photographer. She also completed the Nick Knight photography course at Mastered in London.

Ten years ago Asta opened STUDIO8 in Reykjavik. STUDIO8 is a boutique photography studio that specializes in photographing women, helping them to relax and working with them on their body language on set. She found that women where often very critical of themselves and that the photoshoot itself empowered them. She believes that high-end photography and makeovers should not be exclusive to celebrities and fashion models. Asta has worked wiith many brands and media on her journey, including Vogue Italy, Vogue India, Surface Magazine, LINKEDIN and Dove. She has also been a great supporter of human rights and has used her work to raise awareness with exhibitions for well known organisations such as Amnesty International, The cancer organisation, Just one life, Downs Association, The Children’s Hospital and Save the children

Kári Sverriss has worked as a photographer worldwide for the past 12 years. Kàri studied photography at London College of Fashion and graduated with a Masters degree in Fashion Photography in 2014.

Kàri specialises in beauty, portrait & fashion photography but also shoots interior and food. He has worked for well known magazines and companies such as Chanel, Eucerin, Yamaha, Blue Lagoon, Kringlan and Marina Rinaldi. Magazines such as Elle, Glamour, Vogue, Shape, L’Officiel and Marie Claire. Kàri is based in Germany and Iceland. Kári has taught classes at The school of photography in Iceland for the past years and has held social media and photography workshops throughout Iceland. Kári’s work has been published all over the world in all mediums, digital, print and billboards.
